Fred and Harold Panton were Lincolnshire farmers who established the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby to honor their brother, Christopher, who was killed in WWII. They purchased the Avro Lancaster bomber NX611, known as "Just Jane," in 1983. The center preserves this aircraft, which they actively maintain in taxiable condition, with a long-term goal of making it airworthy.
